In the heart of San Francisco’s Crossing at East Cut—211 Beale Street at Howard—surrounded by apartments and bustling city life a joyous wonderland springs to life. Circus Bella’s Starlight transforms the urban landscape into a space of shared delight. Guided by ringmaster, director, and producer Abigail Munn, who proclaims, “When your community comes together, magic happens.” And yes—it does. Her ensemble of acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, and versatile clowns amuse children and adults alike. Live musicians weave the evening together with warmth and festive sounds. Blending classic circus traditions with contemporary flair, Starlight keeps us grounded in community while lifting us into childhood wonder.

And here a few of those wonders:

Hold your breath as Arielle Ebacher dances—and even backpedals—across the tightwire, elegant, confident, and quietly awe-inspiring. Each performer is a star! Bounce Juggler Ossy Sanchez dazzles with speed, dexterity, and razor-sharp timing, sending multiple balls airborne in mesmerizing patterns. Jack Weinstock’s foot-juggling oversized objects defies imagination while hula-hoop diva and gregarious clown Natasha Kaluza charms with humor and precision. In a striking display of hand-to-hand aerial dexterity, Toni Cannon and Mia Fan unite strength and trust into a new act.

Let us not forget our playful clowns with skits and gags and “tumbling” “Magic!”

The costumes alone feel like a celebration. Lush in color, drenched in sequins, and catching the light at every turn. Thanks to Autumn Adamme’s radiant designs. A special shimmer goes to Lyra Dwoira Galilea’s divine custom work, while contortionist Elise Hing quite literally bends herself into glittering impossibilities. And the music! With a jovial band, who do have a humorous “piece” in the play. The music, written by Rob Reich and Ian Carey, many styles to suit every act’s personality. As the lights swell, the music lifts, the final moments cascade with energy and shine. Starlight delivers exactly what its name promises: a sparkling reminder that joy, risk, and beauty are brightest when shared. Under this Big Top, wonder doesn’t just twinkle—it dazzles.
